A typical project would be writing a scraper to extract information from the web and put it into a spreadsheet or a Mysql database.

I can also write scripts to automate most things that a human can do with a browser and an internet connections.  Data entry would be one example.  If you had an old offline product database, a bot script could be written to take information and input it to a new online system.

A script could be written to signin and check your email or a blog and notify you if there is any new information containing certain keywords.
